**Resetting Network Settings on iPhone or iPad device**

You should only perform these steps if you have been instructed to do so, or if your device is behaving strangely after a change of carrier or SIM card.   You will lose your saved Wi-Fi networks after performing this reset, and there's no way around this.   It will reset many behind-the-scenes settings that can cause you problems with using your voice or data plan features.

There will be an option within that can reset all data on your phone, so I will recommend you verify that a backup is in place beforehand -- just to be safe.
  - Go to **Settings** ➤ **(Your Name)** ➤ **iCloud** ➤ **iCloud Backup**
  - Verify that the latest backup was performed recently.   If not, tap **Backup Now** to perform a fresh backup.

Once you have verified your backup:
  - Go to **Settings** ➤ **General** ➤ **Transfer or Reset iPhone**
  - Tap **Reset** toward the bottom of the screen
  - Tap **Reset Network Settings** within the list that you are shown.
  - You will be prompted to enter your **Unlock PIN** to perform the reset.   Enter this PIN.
  - Your phone will restart, and should come back on pretty quickly.
  - Remember to reconnect to Wi-Fi after this restart, and see if your problem or issue persists after the reset.
